10 'Clock Club
On the first Sunday of the month, our young people stay in the main church service for whole of our All-Age service.
On most other Sundays we hold the 10 O’clock Club: a Sunday School for young people of all ages, which meets in the Church Hall at 10.00 am. The Club provides 45 minutes of Bible based interest, during which the children take part in activities and projects involving singing, painting, drama etc., before joining their parents in Church for a blessing and an opportunity to display the work they have produced. The activities use recognised material and the sessions are fully supervised by helpers operating under approved guidelines.
To find out more, please contact Debbie Norie on 01844 345437, or at debbienorie@googlemail.com.
St Dunstan's Bell Ringers
The church bells at St Dunstan’s attract ringers from all over the country to try their hand and ringing takes place in the attractive, glass fronted bell tower. Our own team of ringers perform each Sunday morning before main service, at funerals in half-muffled mode, and at weddings, where various Quarter Peals, consisting of some 45 minutes of continuous ringing, are sometimes rung in celebration. The ringers have opportunities to ring bells at other churches from time to time.
More ringers are currently needed and anyone who would like to try this enjoyable pastime is welcome to attend practice in church on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm.
The Tower Captain is Brian Highe 01844 343755,
Ringing Times
The church bells at St Dunstan’s are typically rung prior to the 10.00 am service on Sundays for approximately 30 minutes, and for practice between 7.30 and 9.00 pm on Thursday evenings.
Occasionally you may hear individual bells rung for around ten to fifteen minutes when maintenance is required.
We will endeavour to also give notice here of any additional occasions when the bells will be rung prior to a special service.
