Welcome to
St Dunstan's

Welcome to the parish of Monks Risborough with Owlswick.  Whoever you are, you are very welcome here.

We are a Christian community in the heart of Buckinghamshire, drawn together by the love of Jesus Christ, and looking to share His love throughout our local community. We don’t always get it right, but we do our best, and find God’s love and grace when we stumble.

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church you can call home, whether you’re looking to be part of a community or are just curious, you are very welcome.

Christmas at St Dunstan's

We are very much looking forward to Christmas here at St Dunstan’s, and below is a list of all our special services coming up between now and 25th December as we get ready to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Revised Covid News

Services with smaller congregations

We have many services where there is a smaller congregation and no singing: every Thursday at 9.30 am, first Sunday of the month at 8.00 am, and the second Sunday at Owlswick at 9.00 am.

Please do not attend services if you feel unwell or if you have symptoms of COVID-19.

Changes to Distribution of Communion

Holy Communion will now be distributed in the 10.00 am service from the High Altar.

Sidespeople will be on hand to help anyone who needs assistance negotiate the chancel step.  Those who are not able or do not wish to come to the High Altar can have Communion brought to them in their place in the nave – just let a sidesperson know.

The 8.00 am Sunday service will now also both be held in the Chancel.

Bell Ringing at St Dunstan’s

Following the relaxation of restrictions related to the pandemic, we are once again able to ring the church bells at St Dunstan’s. The bells will be rung prior to the 10.00 am service on Sundays, and for practice between 7.30 and 9.00 pm on Thursday evenings.

We will endeavour to also give notice here of any additional occasions when the bells will be rung prior to a special service.

St Dunstan’s Church is now open daily
from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

The church may be closed to visitors occasionally, for example, during music practice.
