St Dunstan’s
Monks Risborough, Buckinghamshire, England
The church bells at St Dunstan's attract ringers from all over the country to try their hand and ringing takes place in the attractive, glass fronted bell tower. Our own team of ringers perform each Sunday morning before main service, at funerals in half-muffled mode, and at weddings, where various Quarter Peals, consisting of some 45 minutes of continuous ringing, are sometimes rung in celebration. The ringers have opportunities to ring bells at other churches from time to time.
More ringers are currently needed and anyone who would like to try this enjoyable pastime is welcome to attend practice in church on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm.
The Tower Captain is Brian Highe (01844) 343755.
As well as ringing prior to the 10.00 am Sunday service, and for bell-ringing practice on Thursday evenings between 7.00 and 9.00 pm.
Due to some special services in May and June, there will be some alterations to the above schedule:
Sunday 22nd May
The bells will ring from approx. 10.30 am to 11.00 am (instead of 9.30 am to 10.00am)
Thursday 26th May
The bells will ring from approx. 6.30 pm to 7.00 pm (instead of 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm)
Thursday 2nd June
